Auditions – The Drowsy Chaperone

Auditions for “The Drowsy Chaperone” will be held at 7:00 pm, March 13 and 14 at the theater. This is a non-paid community theatre production. Auditioning all actors 18+ years of age.

  • Please be prepared to sing 16 bars in a style similar to the music in the show.
  • Dress comfortably with appropriate shoes for a dance audition.
  • There will be cold readings from the script.
  • Bring a headshot (optional if you are well known to the production team) and resume.

Production dates are May 12, 13, 14, 19, 20, 21. A rehearsal schedule will be created based on actor and production team conflicts once casting is complete, but will most likely be three evenings per week until tech week, which begins May 7, at which time rehearsals are every evening until opening night.

 Man In Chair
Musical theatre aficionado who mourns the end of the Golden Era. He narrates the show as he listens to the record on vinyl.

Mrs. Tottendale
The air-headed, proper, and bossy host of the wedding.

Underling
Mrs. Tottendale’s savvy butler who is thrifty and stiff yet has an understated sense of humor.
